Fatty Alkylamidopropyl Dimethylamine (PKO) is a multi-functional cationic surfactant synthesized from fatty acids and DMAPA, with the molecular structure of RCONH(CH2)3N(CH3)2. It features conditioning, emulsifying, antistatic and softening capabilities, and is mainly applied as antistatic agents, emulsifiers and surfactant intermediates.
Benefiting from the combined structure of amide bonds and tertiary amine groups, PKO possesses excellent comprehensive performance and extensive application scenarios:
It is a core conditioning raw material for shampoo, hair conditioner, hair mask and body wash. It improves the wet and dry combing performance of hair, reduces statics on hair, and delivers hair color protection and moisturizing effects.
It works as pesticide emulsifier and dispersant to strengthen the adhesion and penetration of pesticide liquid, so as to improve the utilization efficiency of pesticides.
It serves as fiber softener and antistatic agent to upgrade the hand feel of fabrics and increase the surface smoothness of leather.
It can also be used in oilfield additives, industrial cleaning, paper waterproofing, mineral flotation and other fields. With acid-alkali resistance and high activity, it can adapt to complicated industrial working conditions.
